Michael McFaul is the former United States Ambassador to Russia. Prior to his nomination to the Ambassadorial position, McFaul served in the Obama administration as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Russian and Eurasian Affairs at the National Security Council in the White House. McFaul is a professor of political science at Stanford University, and currently works as a news analyst for NBC. His areas of expertise include international relations, Russian politics, comparative democratization, and American foreign policy. |
