<p><strong>MONTEREY, CA – </strong>On<strong> </strong>Saturday, November 20, Borders Books, in Sand City, will host three local authors in a panel discussion of their books and the vision they offer to help fulfill the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC) .</p>
<p>A percentage of purchases made by customers all weekend at Borders Bookstores in Sand City and the Del Monte Shopping Center, and online, will be donated to the BGCMC. For your purchase to apply, customers must visit the BGCMC website <a href="http://www.bgcmc.org/">www.bgcmc.org</a> , click on Special Events, download and print a <em>Benefit Days Voucher,</em> and present it at the time of their purchase on Saturday or Sunday. If customers do not have the voucher, they can still participate by telling the cashier they want their purchase to count towards the <strong><em>Boys & Girls Clubs Benefit Days</em></strong>.</p>
<p>The following authors will be appearing at 1:30pm at the Borders in Sand City:</p>
<p>¨ Rebecca Costa, author of <strong><em>The Watchman’s Rattle</em></strong> – <strong><em>Thinking Our Way Out of Extinction,</em></strong> recently named by Larry King as his “Pick of the Week” on CNN.</p>
<p>¨ Sandy Brewer, author of <strong><em>Pursuit of Light</em></strong> <strong><em>– An Extraordinary Journey. </em></strong>Brewer’s inspirational work has been featured on NBC with Tom Brokaw.</p>
<p>¨ Myra Goodman, author of <strong><em>The Earthbound Cook: 250 Recipes for Delicious Food and a Healthy Planet.</em></strong> Goodman is co-founder with her husband, Drew, of Earthbound Farms, the world’s largest grower of organic produce.</p>
<p>The moderator for the panel discussion will be Mac McDonald, Editor of Monterey Herald’s GO! All three authors will be signing books following the conversation </p>
